ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) considers Turkey to be an important growth market due to its hub function between Europe and Asia and its market potential. This is reason enough to participate again this year in the 14th exhibition of the International Logistrans Trade Fair in Istanbul (from 10 to 12 November 2021). The entire RCG range of services is presented in Hall 9 (Stand 415).
ÖBB Rail Cargo Group is one of the leading rail logistics companies in Turkey
RCG is one of the top rail logistics companies in the Turkish market with more than 20 combined intermodal and five conventional wagonload block trains per week between Turkey and Europe. Its high-frequency TransFER connections enable ÖBB Rail Cargo Group to link the flow of goods between Turkey and Europe with those to and from Central Asia and China along the most important rail corridors. The RCG TransNET therefore extends from the European North/West ports, the ports of the North Adriatic as well as between the Ruhr area and South-Eastern Europe to Turkey. ÖBB Rail Cargo Group therefore links the most important ports and terminals in the economic regions of Central and South-Eastern Europe and the European and Asian parts of Turkey with its sustainable rail freight transport services.
Most recently, RCG established a new TransFER connection from Budapest/Hungary through the Marmaray Tunnel to the Asian part of Turkey to Köseköy (near Izmit) in Turkey. A completely new connection has been created with the possibility of linking the new TransFER Budapest-Brno/Czech Republic with Anatolia and Central Asia/China. The RCG partnership with Pasifik Eurasia is an important component in the further development of RCG's intermodal transports to and from Turkey and beyond on the entire Silk Road Central Corridor.
Wide range of RCG services in Turkey
RCG also offers custom end-to-end logistics solutions from the first to the last mile in the Turkish market. In addition, logistics services such as customs clearance, storage, transshipment, goods fastening, insurance for conventional and combined rail transport for container loads and cranable trailers, short sea shipping, international and domestic truck transport with standard and container trailers are offered.
