TT Club’s regular risk management newsletter goes ‘Live’

International freight transport insurer TT Club’s well-respected loss prevention newsletter, TT Talk, is being made available as a podcast. TT Live will be recorded monthly and released at the same time as the written word. In addition, six specially produced interviews on various aspects of contractual challenges in the operation of the container supply chain will be made available over the next six weeks.

The specialist insurer has a fundamental mission to research and disseminate best practice in the handling and transport of containers globally. TT’s goal is to advise its Members and the industry at large of loss prevention techniques to improve safety, reduce accidents and mitigate damage to cargo and property. TT Live will improve access to, and availability of, such advice that is regularly contained in the insurer’s monthly TT Talk newsletter, appreciating that those on the front line of logistics operations may rarely get a moment to sit down and read. Providing a loss prevention resource that can be consumed whilst driving or walking to work aligns with TT’s goal of ensuring this advice is widely accessible to all.

The podcast is available on many popular platforms including: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Castbox to name a few.

In addition, six specially recorded interviews with members of the TT Loss Prevention Team will be released over the next six weeks, in which professional advice on a range of risk management issues pertinent to transport operators and freight carriers will be offered. These TT Live podcasts will address:

  • Uncollected and abandoned cargo
  • The importance of the incorporation of Standard Terms & Conditions (STC’s)
  • Contract review
  • Due diligence (sub-contracting road haulage)
  • The distinctions between liability and cargo insurance
  • Assessing the risks of doing business in unfamiliar jurisdictions

In introducing the TT Live programme, TT’s Risk Management Director Peregrine Storrs-Fox commented, “Trends in digitalisation, and the acceleration in remote working brought about by the current pandemic, have added to our desire to make our loss prevention advice, long published through the TT Talk newsletter, more easily accessible in the modern-day, time-limited work environment. We are proud of the authoritative image that TT’s advice commands and, through our additional planned interviews, as well as TT’s raft of other publications and advisories, wish to further inform as wide an audience as possible in risk minimisation.”
