Today, we are delighted to report that the shareholders of UniCarriers Holdings Corporation (“UniCarriers” or “we”) including Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (Headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and COO, Mikihide Katsumata), Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President, Chief Executive Officer and Director, Yuichi Tsujimoto), and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and Chief Executive Officer, Carlos Ghosn) have agreed to sell their entire stakes to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO, Shunichi, Miyanaga; “MHI” hereinafter) and Mitsubishi Nichiyu Forklift Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Nagaokakyo, Kyoto Prefecture; President and CEO, Hideaki Ninomiya; “MN” hereinafter), whereby MHI will own 65% and MN will own 35% of UniCarriers.
UniCarriers, MHI and MN will work together to establish a global leading position. We will appreciate your continued support.
MHI, MN and we will establish a preparatory committee to formulate management policy and strategy to grow the combined group to a world-class material handling player. Update will be provided as appropriate.
