With the appearance of the new flight schedules in Spring 2018, Quick Cargo Service will be expanding its consolidation routes for BUPs to North and South America. The following routes will be added: Chicago (ORD), Atlanta (ATL), Sao Paulo (GRU), Mexico (MEX), Lima (LIM) and Bogota (BOG). Furthermore, the logistics specialist will be dramatically increasing its capacity on existing routes.
The volume of freight in Europe remains significantly higher than average and cargo space remains scarce.
“As a professional service provider who puts our customers’ needs first, it is necessary for us to react to changing market conditions and thereby ensure that we can offer our customers greater and more secure freight capacity”, says Quick Cargo CEO Stephan Haltmayer, explaining the motivations of this further expansion in airfreight consolidation.
“Through this development our customers profit by having security in planning for their freight and fixed rates for up to half a year, as well as a clear and affordable pricing structure. They can continue to count on a departure guarantee of almost 100%”, summarises Mr. Haltmayer.
So far the logistics company has had a pronounced focus on the regions of Asia and Australia with its BUP airfreight consolidations. The routes offered up to now include, amongst others: Shanghai (PVG), Beijing (BJS), Guangzhou (CAN), Chongqing (CKG), Taipeh (TPE), Hong Kong (HKG), Hanoi (HAN), Sydney (SYD) and Melbourne (MEL). With the further-reaching concentration on North and South America, Quick Cargo Service anticipates above average growth in tonnage.
Around two-thirds of the firm’s revenue are generated through air and sea-freight consolidation; the rest is composed of ad hoc business. 2017 was a successful year for Quick Cargo Service: with a 15% increase in export tonnage, the company performed above the market and was able to sustain the positive business development of previous years. The company’s shipping volume saw a plus of 7.5%, and in import the freight volume increased by 5.5%.
Since the end of 2017 Quick Cargo Service has operated an expanded consolidation centre in Neu-Isenburg. On the one hand this allows the firm to deal adequately with the greatly increased tonnage through a larger warehouse, on the other it also represents a move closer to Cargo City Süd to guarantee the maintenance of high quality standards. The entire, expanded consolidation department is now based there directly.
